1. Scope

2. Change-of-mind returns
If you are a consumer buying online, you may have the legal right to cancel your order within 15 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason. For most online consumer purchases in the EU, this is the standard withdrawal period.
To exercise this right, you must notify us within the 15-day period by emailing hello@barbellworksco.com and providing:
- your order number;
- the item(s) you wish to return; and
- a clear statement that you wish to cancel or return the order.

3. Return conditions
Returned items should be sent back:
- unused and in a resaleable condition;
- complete with original packaging, tags, manuals, and accessories where possible; and
- packaged securely to avoid damage in transit.
You may inspect the goods as you would in a shop, but we may reduce the refund for any loss in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.
4. Return shipping costs
For change-of-mind returns, you are generally responsible for return shipping costs unless we state otherwise or fail to inform you of that responsibility before purchase. EU consumer guidance states that, during the cooling-off period, return postage is generally the consumer’s responsibility unless the trader agrees to pay or failed to inform the consumer beforehand.
For faulty, damaged, or incorrect items, we will cover the reasonable cost of return or provide a suitable alternative arrangement. EU consumer guidance states that the trader is responsible for the cost of returning defective goods.
5. Non-returnable items
Change-of-mind returns may not apply to certain items where permitted by law, including:
- goods made to order or clearly personalized;
- sealed goods not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons if unsealed after delivery, where applicable; and
- other goods excluded by mandatory consumer law.
EU guidance specifically lists made-to-order or clearly personalized goods among the standard withdrawal exceptions.
6. Faulty, damaged, or incorrect items
If your order arrives faulty, damaged, defective, or not as described, please contact us as soon as possible at hello@barbellworksco.com with:
- your order number;
- a description of the issue; and
- photos where possible.
If a product is faulty or not in conformity with the contract, you may be entitled to repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund under applicable law. In the EU, consumers generally have a minimum 2-year legal guarantee from receipt of the goods, and faulty goods should be repaired or replaced at no cost, or refunded if repair/replacement is not possible or not done within a reasonable time.
7. Refunds
If you cancel a distance purchase within the legal withdrawal period, we will refund:
- the price paid for the returned goods; and
- the cost of the standard outbound delivery option for the canceled goods or order, where required by law.
EU consumer guidance states that traders must refund consumers within 15 days of cancellation, including standard delivery costs, although reimbursement for goods can be withheld until the goods are returned or proof of return is provided.
We will usually process refunds within 15 days of:
- receiving the returned goods; or
- receiving evidence that you have sent the goods back,

Refunds will be made to the original payment method unless we agree otherwise.
We may reduce the refund amount to reflect any diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the goods.
8. Exchanges
We do not guarantee direct exchanges. If you would like a different item, the quickest option is usually to return the original item in line with this policy and place a new order.
